Stacey Anderson, Board Member
Stacey Anderson is a native of Indiana where as a teenager she dreamt of helping individuals
from underserved populations find their voice. As an African-American female, Stacey
experienced the limitations others tried to put on her while also encountering adults who not only
believed in her but helped her pursue her dreams. It wasn’t until she stumbled across an
introduction to social work class in college that she realized what she thought would be volunteer
work could actually be a career. Armed with a bachelor and master’s degree in social work,
Stacey landed her first professional job at a non-profit serving individuals living with HIV and
AIDS. It was here that she discovered the hard and heart work of non-profits and their impact on
communities.
Believing in the charitable work of non-profits, Stacey has gone on to serve at multiple non-
profits over the span of more than 25 years. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Stacey
remains committed to social work by providing clinical supervision to provisionally licensed
social workers and teaching social work students as an adjunct professor. Additionally, she is
co-owner of a private mental health group-practice in Charlotte, NC. Stacey is very proud of the
work culture she has helped to create which supports staff connections and wellness. Stacey is a
strong advocate for the ethical responsibility of employers to support helping professionals in
their own wellness journey so that they can continue to maintain their passion for providing high
quality service.

A good day for Stacey entails plenty of sunshine, travel with family and friends, maybe some
Zumba and baking from scratch.
